How to practice piano at home. Parents’ guide.
FOR THE PARENTS: “WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER”
I believe that children’s success depends on the support of their parents.
I would like to encourage you to be a part of your child’s piano education.
Dedication is a big part of piano learning process, therefore as a parent you need to ensure your child practices EVERY DAY and prepares their homework up to a good standard for the next lesson. A good standard means the piece sounds smooth. You don’t need to be a musician to be able to understand when the piece sounds smooth and help your child to progress.
Please find time in your busy schedule on a daily basis and
1. sit with your child near the piano,
2. read the diary for them and
3. ask them to follow instructions from the diary and show prepared homework to you. If the piece sounds smooth, then student can stop working on it and start working on a next part of their homework.
